This claim ignores the overwhelming scientific consensus (over 99% of climate scientists). While natural cycles (e.g., Milankovitch cycles, solar variability) do affect Earth's climate, they operate over tens of thousands of years. The current warming has occurred in just 150 years — far faster than natural cycles can explain. Multiple lines of evidence (carbon isotope ratios, atmospheric CO₂ rise matching fossil fuel burning, satellite temperature records, and computer models) directly attribute the warming to human greenhouse gas emissions. Natural factors alone would have actually caused slight cooling since the mid-20th century.
